April wasn’t the most productive month and time got away from me a bit with some real-life events, but I did get some models out of the WIP queue and took some quick wins painting wise. I’ve also had to move my photography setup so my photos are a litle variable in quality this month, hopefully will get back to normal soon.
That said, May has started strong, with completion of something entirely new and have commenced work on my Stark army for A Song Of Ice And Fire, so looking forward to keeping up that momentum through the month.
Terrain
I bought another Mantic Games Terrain Crate to fill out some fantasy village scatter for Rangers of Shadow Deep. I’ve primed most of it, and base coated a stack, but have been very picky about which pieces I complete to maintain motivation. The Terrain Crates are good value, but the quantity but can be daunting and the quality is good but not great.

A Song Of Ice And Fire Tabletop Miniatures Game
Not much progress here after running hard to get my Night’s Watch painted, but I knocked out my other five Stark banners, bringing my total to 10.

Warhammer Underworlds
This caused some of my loss of momentum during the month, as I tackled Mollogs Mob. I have to say up until this point I’ve loved all the warbands for the game, but this one just didn’t light my fire. Anyway, they’re done now, so I can box them and forget about them.

Random Stuff
A few random models this month, just as they came to hand and took my fancy. First up, I bought the UR-025 robot from Blackstone Fortress, which will find a home in some of my This Is Not A Test crews.

Next, I had picked up a bunch of models from Hasslefree Miniatures of which this ninja was one. No specific plans, but a cool model nonetheless.

I also picked up these panther models to use for Frostgrave and Rangers of Shadow Deep. Simple paint jobs but they get the job done.

Lastly, I picked up these packhorses some time ago, with plans to use them for a few games, most notably as part of my Caravaners crew for This Is Not A Test.

Conclusion
Got quite a few models off the painting table this month and I’m glad to see Mollogs Mob away in a box. As I said earlier, I’ve had a good start to May so hopefully I can keep it up and have a strong month of hobby. I’ve also got some battle and event reports to write-up so look out for those coming up as well.
