Not a hugely productive month, although I did get quite a bit of gaming at the same time, joining Axes and Ales has helped considerably with this. On to the photos and goal commentary.
Paint All Massive Darkness Models
Nothing done on this over June, will be looking to get back into the balance of models over July and August, and still comfortable I’ll get this done by the end of the year.
Paint All DCU models
The goal that just won’t die. I’ve picked up another model to round out my magic users to 60 levels, being Green Lantern, which I’ll knock over fairly quickly as I’m keen to get these guys to the table.
Filling Out the Frostgrave Bestiaries
I put in a little work to round out some models I’d acquired for this: rat swarms (for giant rats), a lich and a necromancer. The latter is to lead my undead horde if I decide to go further down the solo roleplay/dungeon crawl route. I also used the below model as my hero for Escape From the Crypt, albeit I believe I originally acquired her for Ghost Archipelago, she did an admirable job slaying undead in Frostgrave (and I just noticed that the dullcote has left some snow like speckles on her base!).
Shadespire
Painting all eight warbands for Shadespire has graduated to become a firm goal for the year. I’ve been having a lot of fun painting GW models again, so much so that mistakes were made and the new Age of Sigmar core box was pre-ordered. Once I get the last two warbands done (Chosen Axes were technically finished first of July, so they’ll be in next months update) I’ll have to make an effort to play with them all rather than just my Orruks!
Conclusion
Making progress on most goals, although Massive Darkness has stalled out a little. It may remain that way as I work through the new AoS models I’ve bought but definitely keen to see it completed.
